Insight Advocacy began as a group of parents who recognized the need for greater visibility and attention to issues that directly impact minorities on the North Shore of Chicago. We aim to partner with our local community, schools and businesses to promote equity and inclusion, so that all children and their families can feel at home in their community.
We equip our community with a racial equity mindset by:

Celebrating cultural diversity on the North Shore of Illinois

Building inclusivity in the community through youth-centered activities

Facilitating discussions and open dialogue on the intersections of race and wellbeing

Providing support for minority families in our community

Teaching students and adults about the contributions of various ethnic groups

Insight Advocacy is a resource for those who strive to make their world more inclusive by celebrating diversity.
Diversity really means becoming complete as human beings - all of us. We learn from each other. If you're missing on that stage, we learn less. We all need to be on that stage.

Insight Advocacy’s mission is to advocate for inclusion, diversity and representation in our community by providing visibility, insight, and resources to support minority community members.

We strive to create a greater since of community by partnering with organizations and developing cultural events with inclusion and representation as a primary goal.
By bringing people together, we foster and support the skills needed for our families to become leaders and advocates on behalf of themselves and others.
