Vigilance

The Brushwood Center Presents: Vigilance Exhibition 

 

Exhibition Dates: March 3 – May 5, 2024
Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods
Free, On View during Open Hours

 

Vigilance features artists of all ages, and celebrates the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) environmental justice leaders. This exhibition is hosted in partnership with Insight Advocacy, an organization that promotes visibility and inclusion on the North Shore of Chicago. Visitors are invited to view artworks in a variety of mediums created by professional artists as well as students. This show shares valuable insights from past leaders, and seeks to inspire current generations to join the work for a cleaner, safer, more equitable future for all.

A conversation with leaders dedicated to advocating for inclusion and diversity. Panelists will share tools and best practices for advocating for yourself and you families in all spaces.

Join us at our table as we package Feminine Hygiene kits for an organization that provides housing to women and young ladies.

 

Write a note of encouragement for the recipients.

 

Donations of maxi pads, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant are being accepted.

Youth Service Project, 2023

THANK YOU to our awesome Insight Advocacy youth volunteers, their parent  and donors for helping to make our Youth Service Project event a success!

Our volunteers decorated and packed Thanksgiving breakfast bags for foster youth of Fill a Heart 4 Kids.

Giving back and making a difference in our North Shore community!

Join us as we come together as a community for the largest chalk art event on the North Shore! 

Food trucks, jump rope, music and a special appearance by Daisy from Nature Cat.

Sponsored chalk boxes available for those in need. Please contact us if you would like to attend and would like to request a sponsored chalk box.
